Fweep 11 Posted February 6, 2022 Posted February 6, 2022 (edited) Just for example... folder = E:\video\movies\musicals\[2020] Hamilton\Hamilton (2020) Within that folder I have Hamilton (2020) - stereo.mkv and Hamilton (2020) - surround.mkv The musicals folder is set up as a library of movies. After metadata refresh, all looks good: I have one instance of the movie in Emby, and can navigate to it and then select one of the two different versions. But the way the versions are listed in the drop-down menu, the first letter is missing from the version name. So instead of "stereo" and "surround", my choice is "tereo" and "urround". What's going wrong? [This is with Emby 4.6.7.0, Windows, 64-bit, as seen in the local web interface as well as via my Roku.] Edited February 6, 2022 by Fweep added server version
Spaceboy 2573 Posted February 6, 2022 Posted February 6, 2022 the display of multiversion filenames in the dropdown removes all common text from the filenames so you have: Hamilton (2020) - s - tereo.mkv and Hamilton (2020) - s - urround.mkv dev's have never clearly responded on whether this is intended or not so most people just work around it eg: Hamilton (2020) - 1. stereo.mkv Hamilton (2020) - 2. surround.mkv
Solution pwhodges 2012 Posted February 6, 2022 Solution Posted February 6, 2022 In the current beta, common whole words are still removed, but not common letters in different words - so this specific case is fixed. For example: Film Name (year) - The Stereo version Film Name (year) - The Surround version appears as: Stereo version Surround version Paul 1
