Emby Crashes when casting audio

I'm running my Emby server on a Raspberry Pi and accessing the music files through the Android client (on a Pixel 6 fully updated). When I access my music files and cast to another device (I've cast to two different Nest Hubs and a Chromecast Ultra), the playback will normally stop mysteriously in the middle of the first track. The server still seems to be up, but playback through the app stops. 

I have tested some other scenarios and the problem does not occur when: I'm using Bluetooth to output audio, when I access the Emby server using the app directly on my Android TV, or when I use a 3rd party app to access the files through DLNA (I've used HiFi Cast and it worked fine).

Any ideas of where I should be looking to troubleshoot?

HI, so the app doesn't actually crash, it's just that playback stops? Is that correct?
