Music videos: sort by artist?

When I went to my new music video library in the web client for the first time, the videos were sorted by artist. But now that I've changed the order, there doesn't seem to be any way to get back to artist sort. Is it just me?

Music videos have a title and an artist. I want to sort them on the page by the artist rather than the title. So instead of:

Loser (Beck)
Rain (The Beatles)
Sabotage (Beastie Boys)

I want it to be sorted:

Beastie Boys - Sabotage
The Beatles - Rain
Beck - Loser

Does that make sense?

So, the Video tab add a sort by Artist instead of Video Title?

Not sure what you mean. Can you post a screenshot of what you're doing?

There currently is no Artist sort option for that view, Artist is not a factor in sorting only item video title.  I would think this would have to be a feature request.

No the Title is sorted.  So in my example having Artist in Title name sorted first.  Removing Artist from Tite resorts.

When I first opened my music videos library, it was sorted by artist. It stayed that way until I sorted it by something else, and there's no way to get back. So Emby understands how to do it, there's just no menu option for it. That's why I would consider it a bug rather than a feature request.

Not sure then as Emby currently does not sort by secondary row (Artist) on that view.

But may need to see a specific example.

I'd have to create a new library to demonstrate it. I can do that if you want, but I'm not sure if there's any point. @Luke must be aware of this behavior. I'm guessing it was just an oversight to not include it as a sort option, although maybe there's more to it.

Hi.  I imagine that is a coincidence related to how the items were ingested into the system which just happened to correlate with artists.

A sort by artist there makes sense but doesn't currently exist.

But that can't be right, because when I went to the artist tab and changed "Artist Sort" for particular artists and then reloaded the main videos page, the videos changed the sort to reflect the new artist order.

Regardless, an option to sort by artist on the videos page would still need to be added.
