Is a TVDB API Subscription Required?

I believe Emby now supports the latest/paid version of the TVDB API but what I haven't found though is whether it's free through Emby or if we need to provide our own subscription to use it.

No for now, but currently only available in beta 4.7.

Is it currently free because it's in beta or possibly some other reason and the long term plan is that personal subscriptions will be required?  Or is the long term plan that Emby will be paying the subscription?

You won't need to provide your own API key.
