mirdragon 15 Posted January 31, 2022 Posted January 31, 2022 Is there a way to get Emby running as a service on a windows 10 pro setup, so runs without the need to login to the computer after a reboot? I've seen the thread for setup on a server os, but not on a standard windows 10 os Is there a reason that when you install the emby server it does not install as a service, meaning you have to actively login on the computer
ebr 16195 Posted January 31, 2022 Posted January 31, 2022 Hi. Please see: Running Emby Server as a Windows Service 1
mirdragon 15 Posted January 31, 2022 Author Posted January 31, 2022 thanks, not sure what has happened after following that but according to emby I now have 248 libraries, 247 of them are the recordings folder for the tv side and don't seem to be easy way of getting rid of them

Please see: Running Emby Server as a Windows Service Managed to get it all working and fixed the issue of it deciding to add 247 libraries for Recordings But why must we use a hack like that to get it running as a service, surely you should be able to create the necessary calls within the installer to install as a service?

Unfortunately, it isn't quite that simple anymore. Remember the server runs on a multitude of platforms, not just Windows.
