Bill LeDuc 5 Posted January 30, 2022 Posted January 30, 2022 (edited) Playback fails immediately (after briefly showing video) on what appears to be all 1080p HEVC format files. Samsung model UN65NU6900. Emby server and transcode logs attached. Edited January 30, 2022 by Bill LeDuc

SamES 1057 Posted January 30, 2022 Posted January 30, 2022 Can you test with a file that doesn't have so many subtitles? (ideally <10). I expect this may be the issue 1

Bill LeDuc 5 Posted January 30, 2022 Author Posted January 30, 2022 SamES, yes I was a bit shocked to see so many subtitles, although it plays on at least three other clients fine.
FrostByte 5392 Posted January 30, 2022 Posted January 30, 2022 Yes, it's a Samsung/Tizen thing. I believe Tizen's max is 30 tracks total (video + audio + subs, etc). Remuxing and eliminating the subs you don't need usually fixes it. 1
Bill LeDuc 5 Posted February 2, 2022 Author Posted February 2, 2022 Thank you FrostByte. I would rather not remux, but there in nothing Emby can do about a Tizen limitation.
