trix2882 0 Posted January 27, 2022 Posted January 27, 2022 (edited) Hello, All of my media is on a share with cache disabled but I've read that it's a good idea to set up cache, metadata and transcoding folders to cache disk so it improves loading times. To do so I created a new share called "temps" set it to use cache and set the paths there (/mnt/cache/temps). Today I woke up and noticed that all my covers are missing and in logs there's an info about missing files in metadata: "Could not find a part of the path '/mnt/cache/temps/metadata/people/Billy Magnussen-tmdb-141034/folder.jpg'." I assume this happened because Mover was run during the night? I'm very new to docker and I unfortunately don't quite understand how to correctly set up these paths. Should these be set to mnt/cache/temps or mnt/user/temps? I would appreciate everything that would help me improve my Emby setup. Thank you embyserver.txt Edited January 27, 2022 by trix2882
Luke 42077 Posted January 28, 2022 Posted January 28, 2022 Hi, when you changed the path to the metadata folder, did you migrate the contents from the previous location?
CassTG 113 Posted January 29, 2022 Posted January 29, 2022 (edited) If i recall correctly as it's been a while, Unraid creates a folder called appdata which is where it stores both Docker containers Including volumes) and VMS. If you set set this folders Cache option as always or prefer (again cant remember the terms but the one which mover rarely touches) then your metadata would be cached on your faster cache drive automatically and you would not need to change anything in Emby Settings or add any other mount points. As long as you have a big cache drive you should be fine. Unraid Appdata Cache only Be handy to see the full config options, as i cant remember how Unraid handles persistence if using defaults, So i would presume like Luke stated: 1) Create a folder on cache drive - /mnt/cache/appdata/myembymeta (which you have done) 2) pass that to docker as you did above 3) before booting up the docker copy everything from the original config folder into the new folder 4) start container Edited January 29, 2022 by CassTG
