Content buffering when playing through mounted cloud storage

I'm running a setup where my google drive is mounted to my laptop and is direct playing to my phone or my firestick.

But my content keeps buffering even though I have 300mbps internet and I'm only going to be playing 1080p media with an average of 10 bitrate

My phone always buffers when my firestick never does. Both of them are connected by wifi and i made sure both are direct streaming. Could any one shed some light on this?
