AllesMeins 27 Posted January 21, 2022 Posted January 21, 2022 I run an Emby Server on my local network and want to use Emby for Android to watch offline content while commuting. One thing that seems strange to me is the extremely long startup time (around a minute) while I'm on my way and the server isn't reachable. It seems like the app is scanning for servers or something and it is quite annoying if I just want to watch my downloaded shows. Even if I start the app with long press and select "Downloads" I'll have to wait. Is this normal behaviour? And is there a way to change that? I don't need the app to scan for servers on startup. There is one server I'm using, it has a fixed address and if I'm not in my local network there is no other server to be found. I'm using the most current version from the PlayStore on Android 11.
GrimReaper 4739 Posted January 21, 2022 Posted January 21, 2022 Known behaviour where you need to wait for server timeout before accessing offline. Maybe logic will be rewritten at some point.
Luke 42077 Posted January 23, 2022 Posted January 23, 2022 Hi, we'll look at improving it. Thanks for the feedback.
