synologyluap 1 Posted February 21, 2022 Author Posted February 21, 2022 That's exactly it! Indeed I have mixed up "transcoded" vs "convert function"... If there is something I can do to help you with these "convert function" test , please let me know. Thanks again for all your support!!! A+ 1
ebr 16169 Posted February 23, 2022 Posted February 23, 2022 No, we will have to take action to resolve his issue. Luke 42077 Posted February 23, 2022 Posted February 23, 2022 OK yes that's on our to do list. Thanks.
LostInTheFold 4 Posted October 26, 2024 Posted October 26, 2024 I am not sure if this was originally a user issue or what, however, I have a fairly large number of videos taken on a couple of different Android phones. These are being hosted on my local computer running Emby 4.8.10.0. I am running Emby client on Amazon 4k TV version 2.1.14a. The problem seems to be mostly or exclusively related to videos. I did not do a thurough test on all of my images. But most if not all of my videos taken via phone have this problem. I also have not tried recently any video taken by SLR camera, but I can do that if need be. Attached please find an image of a video taken of a train station, this shows as right side up on my personal computer in which this is being hosted. If you need any further information, please let me know. Many thanks for an otherwise great product.
ebr 16169 Posted October 26, 2024 Posted October 26, 2024 Hi. If you use "Playback correction" under the cog menu during playback, does it fix it?
LostInTheFold 4 Posted November 2, 2024 Posted November 2, 2024 Sorry for the delay in response, I kinda spaced this. I tried the "Playback correction" and it did not correct the problem. I am not certain, but it did seem to do something. I think it made it wide screen, but please don't quote me on that, its kinda late and I would need to go check another file or two to make sure I know exactly what happened. I can do that tomorrow.
ebr 16169 Posted November 2, 2024 Posted November 2, 2024 Hi. When you retry this, be sure to select that playback correction option more than once. Keep trying it until it either works or tells you it is giving up. Thanks.
LostInTheFold 4 Posted November 4, 2024 Posted November 4, 2024 Last night when I tried it, I did it 3 times, I thought that would be enough. I will try some more.
LostInTheFold 4 Posted November 4, 2024 Posted November 4, 2024 So, 3 attempts was the limit. The first attempt made it wide screen but in the same orientation. I didn't really see any difference in attempts 2 and 3. On attempt 4 it said that there were too many errors that it was giving up. 1
LostInTheFold 4 Posted November 13, 2024 Posted November 13, 2024 @ebr or @Luke, I fully understand that it takes time to reproduce and or fix things, I was just wondering if there was any kind of update. Many thanks.
LostInTheFold 4 Posted December 3, 2024 Posted December 3, 2024 @ebror @Lukeit has been awhile since i have heard back from you. Just wondering how things have been going. thanks.

LostInTheFold 4 Posted February 13, 2025 Posted February 13, 2025 @ebror @LukeI am not trying to be a pest or anything, but it has been 4 months now. Do you need any more information that I can collect for you? Is there something I can help? Or perhaps this is fixed in a patch that is not yet released. Many thanks.
Luke 42077 Posted March 1, 2025 Posted March 1, 2025 hi, when it is direct playing and not rotated correctly, this is resolved for the next app update. Thanks. 1
