Cinema Intros dont pick trailer of watched content option doesnt work

Recommended Posts

Hello After lots of testing.

It seems (im pretty sure) that the option to only show trailers of non seen content (local trailers) is not working.

I often see trailers of content marked as Seen.

Regards

Hi, I think it works just fine, but you may have run out of trailers to see.

Im pretty sure of the bug @Luke as i tested on a clean install (on a vm) before reporting. And it happened very quickly to have some trailers of seen movies.

the option im talking about is the one for not showing trailers of seen movies. Im not talking of seeing a second Time a already Seen trailer of an unseen movie (this i consider normal after a while)

Need to know all Cinema Intro settings, as other options do affect selection.  What are you testing with?

I dont use online trailers as i wait for tmdb and language to be handled (im french) ans this is a Big miss on the trailer plugin as it is

Only local trailers is activated (i have one local trailers for each movie i own)

And i have activated the option "only show trailers for unseen content"

And this is the option im talking about

@luke here is all the config. I'm only using local trailers. And the option im talking about is the last one checked on the second screenshot.

Im not activating any online trailers as they are only english trailers. Most of the categories are stuck on 2017. And you mentionned lots of Times during those 5 last years that tmdb trailers with language selection will be implemented. And unfortunately Still today the trailer plugin is Still gathering info from a txt file on github which has not been updated for some categories for more than 5 years. And has only low res and only english trailers

The issue im reporting here is not linked to online trailers but as you Can see on the screenshots to local trailers and more precisely to the last option checked which should ignore trailers from Seen movies and that is not the case. The trailer picker from the core still picks trailer for Seen movie altought the option is checked

What local trailers do you have?

i have a trailer in folder trailers in each folder of my movie....

but that works. trailers are seen by clicking on the trailer button

and trailers are picked by the intro cinema...

The issue is that :

What is the aim of the option  "Only play trailers for unseen content"  -------> not picking trailers for movies marked as watched in the library

and that is specifically the issue i'm reporting. Everything else is working well

So that option applies to both the movie and the trailer. That means if you've seen the trailer, it will be excluded from future uses of it.

Yes you said it "that applies to the movie and the trailer"

and the issue i'm reporting is that  it picks trailers for watched movie and it shouldn't as i have the option enabled......

so i make a synthesis as i'm thinking you didn't understand the issue :

1) I have the option "ONLY pick trailer for unseen content"   CHECKED

2) It shouldnt pick trailers for a watched movie  due to this option

3) It picks trailers of watched movie anyway ----------> this is the bug i'm reporting (not anything else)

OK we'll take a look at it. Thanks for reporting.
