Hi, what version of the Emby Samsung app do you have? Where are you trying to go back from and to?

Hello All

I'm new in this foro. Let me use this message to present myself and to thank Emby team for this sw, that is awesome.

I've been using emby for several months, mainly to reproduce multimedia stored in one server into a Samsung UE50KU6000K SmarTV.

All was ok until yesterday, that I upgraded to last 1.1.1 version for Tizen. I have exactly the very same problem : backward key in TV remote control has lost its functionality. Wherever you enter moving along Emby interface you are not allowed to go back with this key, as it was before upgrade. You get then blocked and Emby restart is needed.

Another issue is related to TV keyboard management. Once you try to enter user or password, arrow keys at remote control are no working properly, especifically up & down arrows, that are not allowing you to move inside the keyboard but move you to up or down login fields instead.

My Samsung TV is a UE50KU6000K model and Tizen fw version, upgraded to its last version, is 1250.

Running Emby server 4.6.7.0.

For testing purposes, can you please try this version?

It's not going to fix anything, but it will give you a toast dialog box in the upper right on every single remote button press. It will display the name of the key that was pressed along with the keycode. Can you please press the up, left, right, down and back buttons and let me know what gets displayed in the toast for each one?

Version of my samsung TV : UE55KU6070U with tyzen version 1250

I tried your version, my results :

Up : ArrowUp - 38

Left : ArrowLeft - 37

Right :ArrowRight - 39

Down :ArrowDown - 40

Back : Backspace - 10009

Hello Luke,

I have exactly the same issue after update to 1.1.1 as vicamo reported, even nearly the same samsung model (only bigger).

Another potential issue with this version - I cannot see the 'Play next' button for tv series anymore, is it by purpose?

Same remote issue UN55KS8000. Problem started with beta client ver. 1.1.1,  Tyzen  ver. 1250. Same remote key values as ThierryC

Thanks.  Can you tell us the model number of your TV?  Is it a 2016 also?

Same thing for me after upgrading to Emby 1.1.1 on my Samsung TV UE65KU6000KXXU

I know you are looking into it, but I thought it might help if you knew of more TV models that it's affecting.

So far it looks like just 2016 (K) models with the issue.  Works fine on my 2018.

Is it possible to install previous version 1.1.09 , while this problem will fixed 🤔

Even if you kept the old install file the time bomb would prevent you from using it.  It would need to be recompiled.  Another option is you could also change your app region to US/UK and get an older version from the Samsung store.  A keyboard might also work as a temporary workaround (not sure)

Hopefully, a fix comes out soon.

Having the same issue with my both TVs: UE49KS8000 and UE60KS7000. It's impossible to use Emby: for example, I cannot stop the playback, only by turning off the TV.

Please be so kind to recompile the previous version until the fix is released.
