bellstrom 0 Posted January 15, 2022 Posted January 15, 2022 I'm new to Emby and have been using Plex for a couple years. Plex has a method to hide music tracks (saving a filename pattern in a ".plexignore" file). Can I hide tracks in Emby? I want to keep the hidden tracks, but just dont want to play them when i play an album. I'm running Emby on a Win7 VM. Setting the Windows "hidden" attribute on track files doesnt hide them from Emby. Also, naming the files to start with a period doesnt hide them.
Abobader 3464 Posted January 15, 2022 Posted January 15, 2022 Hello bellstrom, ** This is an auto reply ** Please wait for someone from staff support or our members to reply to you. It's recommended to provide more info, as it explain in this thread: Thank you. Emby Team
visproduction 315 Posted January 15, 2022 Posted January 15, 2022 Why not just keep the tracks in your backup and delete from the Emby server files? You can always move the tracks back if you want to play them again.
Luke 42077 Posted January 15, 2022 Posted January 15, 2022 Hi, there is currently no way to hide tracks other than hiding the whole folder via a .ignore file, but expanded feature support for ignoring files has come up before and is possible for the future. thanks.
