djerniehoule 23 Posted January 14, 2022 Posted January 14, 2022 Hello, I use my Emby server to view my IPTV subscription. I have spent many hours setting this up! I am curious, how can I back this up (logos, proper channel titles, categories, etc) I'd also like to know how I could move this from one machine to another? Any info is appreciated...

Hi, Install and configure the Emby Configuration Backup Plugin from the catalog. It backs up this information as well as many other config options used in Emby. It should be the first plugin installed when you have a Premiere License.
djerniehoule 23 Posted January 14, 2022 Author Posted January 14, 2022 Oh I found it! Now once it's backed up, how do you install it on another machine? Another question that I have is under my IPTV subscription it has my login info. Now say for example I put this on a friends machine, and they sign up for their own account to the same IPTV service, will it now display the way that I have everything organized? Channels, logos, etc?
djerniehoule 23 Posted January 14, 2022 Author Posted January 14, 2022 ok i have backed up and reinstalled but the custom icons, channel names, etc did not copy over.
Carlo 4561 Posted January 14, 2022 Posted January 14, 2022 Correct. The backup plugin doesn't do everything but takes care of all the key config things. Graphics would normally be auto-generated unless you overwrote them which you can do again on the new setup. The only way you could keep every single things like that would be to lift the current system directory and copy it to the new machine. That assumes an identically configured machine with same drive letters, same OS, etc...
