Getting to special episode info

i am trying to determine the last episode in the formal episode order for a show..so think i need to evaluate specials...so think i am looking for access to the special episode info..in this accessible to the api? or is there a more elegant way to determine.

i dont see them in the swagger test..do i need to include additional fields on the items service to get them to show against episodes. is there a fields value which dumps all available info?

the items service seems to sort the episodes in returned json against a show parentid in a proper play order by default, which is probably all i need.

{unindexed specials}, {structured episode play order respecting special episode info}

web client seems to use endpoint

when returning the ui with populated specialepisodeinfo, but when i use that endpoint it just returns parentalratingsoptions
