Running time for grouped films is not displayed

Hi,

I've grouped two versions of the same movie. Once as mkv and once as ISO with the same name.
Unfortunately then the running time of the films is not displayed.
Assumption: because then the ISO is taken as the primary film and the running time cannot be determined, although the ISO is in the second position in the selection.
Question: How can I change this fact without splitting up the group.
thank you

Danke

It's recommended to provide more info, as it explain in this thread:

Thank you.

There is no user control over the ordering of options, or which Emby chooses as default.  The choice is made each time of the version which Emby thinks will be able to give the best quality for the client and connection in use.

Our usage for other things like versions or directors cuts is (currently) tolerated but not really supported.

There is no dynamic information on multi-versioning.  Emby will only present info for one item in the group no matter what version is selected.

Possibly remove the ISO, do a library scan and readd the ISO.

That's not strictly true, as the audio and subtitle track selectors are adjusted to match the selected file (it would be unusable if they weren't).

Yes that is file info and the rest of the UI does not show any this different as the first file imported presents everything for all files, ie first nfo file if you write nfo files.

Hi. Your supposition is probably correct. I guess I would ask why add an ISO as a version - you won't be able to play it pretty much anywhere so it will probably just cause frustration for users.

Hi,

Thanks a lot for all the answers.
@ Happy2Play
Did it just as well, it works and the times can now also be sorted. That was my real job.

Hallo.

@ebr

because I want to keep the ISO as originals and the mkv are ripped and edited.
But I will move to an external HDD later.
thank you

@all

why is the quote in German now?
Probably because I had the page translated into German in chrome. 😉

Right, but, since they won't be playable, I think you should archive these outside of Emby to avoid confusion (and the problem you are encountering).
