digidoggie18 0 Posted January 11, 2022 Posted January 11, 2022 Just downloaded Emby to give it a whirl on windows 11 and it's not even remotely working. When I click configure it opens a web page and it just stays black. I allowed the app through my firewall as well. Anyone have any ideas or help? I don't understand why this wouldn't just work right out of the box..

Perhaps that's your issue.

Luke 42080 Posted January 11, 2022 Posted January 11, 2022 I'm not sure yet at this point. On a vanilla install of Firefox with default settings, I don't see any problems. I see Firefox 96 is rolling out today. Can you try updating to that?
digidoggie18 0 Posted January 11, 2022 Author Posted January 11, 2022 Done, I am on 96.0 I do have more in the browser console now though: 14:25:27.369 1641936327369 addons.xpi WARN Checking C:\Program Files\Mozilla Firefox\distribution\extensions for addons 14:25:27.428 1641936327428 addons.webextension.screenshots@mozilla.org WARN Loading extension 'screenshots@mozilla.org': Reading manifest: Invalid extension permission: resource://pdf.js/ 14:25:27.428 1641936327428 addons.webextension.screenshots@mozilla.org WARN Loading extension 'screenshots@mozilla.org': Reading manifest: Invalid extension permission: about:reader* 14:25:27.529 1641936327529 addons.webextension.screenshots@mozilla.org WARN Loading extension 'screenshots@mozilla.org': Reading manifest: Invalid extension permission: resource://pdf.js/ 14:25:27.529 1641936327529 addons.webextension.screenshots@mozilla.org WARN Loading extension 'screenshots@mozilla.org': Reading manifest: Invalid extension permission: about:reader* 14:25:27.945 This page is in Quirks Mode. digidoggie18 0 Posted January 11, 2022 Author Posted January 11, 2022 I am using VPN as well if that may help. I am split tunneled with PIA however, I don't have issues like this with any other apps though. I have sonar, radar, Plex, jellyfin, etc.. with no issues and have my VPN passing traffic to my local network as well.
Luke 42080 Posted January 11, 2022 Posted January 11, 2022 Try also clearing browsing data and see if that helps.
Luke 42080 Posted January 11, 2022 Posted January 11, 2022 Just now, digidoggie18 said: Nothing. What exactly did you do?
digidoggie18 0 Posted January 11, 2022 Author Posted January 11, 2022 I went to privacy and security then cookies and site data and clicked clear data. I did restart again and when I try to configure emby the page pops up and a loading symbol flashes repeatedly and it only fills a quarter of the way before it starts over again.
Luke 42080 Posted January 13, 2022 Posted January 13, 2022 Can you try Chrome for comparison purposes? Thanks.
