jackthedoc 12 Posted January 10, 2022 Posted January 10, 2022 I have just added The Blu-ray edition of Columbo, series 1 to my Emby Server, and I find that some of the episodes don't have "place holders" The first 2 episodes (Prescription: Murder; Ransom for a Dead Man) are classified as Pilot, the 3rd episode (Murder by the Book) is considered s01e01 so everything is out of sync. I have no idea how to correct this. Should the Pilot episodes have a folder called "Pilot" or be included in the first season folder? Either way, this is far beyond my skills to modify. Can someone help me with this? John Norris
GrimReaper 4749 Posted January 10, 2022 Posted January 10, 2022 (edited) Didn't quite understand your issue, care to share a screenshot of your current folder contents? Edit: I've figured what's happening: you have TMDB as primary meta-scraper in your TV shows library. Either raise TVDB on top and rescrape, or move first two episodes to Season 0 and rename as S00E01 and S00E02 as they are listed on TMDB and refresh metadata. https://www.themoviedb.org/tv/873-columbo/seasons TVDB (Season 1: 9 eps) and TMDB (Specials: 2 eps + Season 1: 7 eps) list those differently, choose which one suits you more. jackthedoc 12 Posted January 10, 2022 Author Posted January 10, 2022 Thanks, that is precisely the issue: Now my dilemma is how to put what you have told me into practice Where do I find these meta-scraper entries? Sincere thanks for your rapid response... John Norris
GrimReaper 4749 Posted January 10, 2022 Posted January 10, 2022 Settings>Library tab, click on library thumb or three-dot-menu>Edit library, meta-providers are ranked by priority (highest one is on top), you can move them up/down with the arrows next to provider name.
jackthedoc 12 Posted January 10, 2022 Author Posted January 10, 2022 Perfetto, Thanks JN (pretending that he is Italian) 1
jackthedoc 12 Posted January 10, 2022 Author Posted January 10, 2022 PS what is the difference between Series and Season metadata, apart from the fact that we Aussies use the same terminology as our UK friends in calling a collection of related episodes a series in contradistinction to our US colleagues who call this collection a season? And why does Series have multiple sources while Season has only one ? Thanks JN

AFAIK TVDB v3 API did not return Season metadata, only TMDB did. Don't know whether that changed with v4 API, maybe @Happy2Play might have some insight there.
jackthedoc 12 Posted January 10, 2022 Author Posted January 10, 2022 Thanks for that. Greatly appreciated. Regards John Norris
