API Session Control in LG App

Is anybody aware of issues with controlling Session's via the API when using the LG App ?

I can get the Session details fine - but cannot pass any form of request (Play, Pause, FFWD etc) to the LG App.

This works for all other Apps (excl Roku - I haven't tested that) - this is part of the IntroSkip plugin and this came to our attention the other day from a beta tester.

It would be a shame if this client did not work with Introskip.

Yea either it doesn't have web socket connection support for remote control, or LG closes pretty aggressively in order to conserve resources.
