mlapoint 10 Posted January 2, 2022 Posted January 2, 2022 I had an issue with my DS218+ and one of the hard drives was degraded. Emby worked perfectly before the problem, but now that I have that drive replaced, it does not refresh the metadata properly. There is NO files being created (.nfo, .bif, etc). However, Emby does have the proper permissions to write to it because I have done some test records and those get written properly as .ts files. I am pulling my hair out over this. Please let me know what I am doing wrong! Thank you, Mike LaPointe
Carlo 4561 Posted January 5, 2022 Posted January 5, 2022 Hi, When you degraded, what exactly was the problem? Was this a mirror setup? I take it you pulled the drive, replaced it with one the same or larger and had Synology rebuild the pool? Did Synology run a data scrub as part of this procedure? In Emby, how were things like nfo and bif setup? Was this information set to be stored with the media? Did you check the Emby server log file for errors?
mlapoint 10 Posted January 5, 2022 Author Posted January 5, 2022 I'm sorry, just rebooted the server and the NAS drive and it started working again. Thank You for the reply, though! Mike
Carlo 4561 Posted January 5, 2022 Posted January 5, 2022 OK, keep us updated if you see it happen again.
