tuvx 14 Posted January 2, 2022 Posted January 2, 2022 I have for many years used another media application to maintain and listen to my music library. The software allowed setting ratings on individual songs, making it useful to setup Smart Playlists to only play songs I rated appropriately. I am now looking to use Emby for my music, but notice none of the embedded MP3 ratings are visible. Is there a process for using the embedded song ratings (maybe as the Community Rating)?

That sounds like a great feature request. I'd definitely like to do the same. In the meantime, you can favorite your songs and then play all of your favorited songs. That's only 1 rating of course, but still a decent workaround.
tuvx 14 Posted January 3, 2022 Author Posted January 3, 2022 Is there a way to import an M3U (with music) playlist into Emby?

Emby will actually read directly from the M3U. You can even edit the M3U from within Emby. Just include the M3U's in a folder that is part of your Emby music library and it'll pick up the playlists. I'd recommend making the directory paths in the M3U's relative instead of absolute paths so they're more portable.

This is a good hack to accomplish my goal, thank you. 1
