pinkfamily7 2 Posted January 1, 2022 Posted January 1, 2022 I primarily use my LiveTV to watch live sports, I've noticed that my video is approximately 2-3 seconds ahead of my audio. I'll see a tackle, and then 2-3 seconds later hear the commentators and crowd noise. This is also particularly annoying when watching news channels because the lips are always desynced. Currently using 4.7.0.19 with a HDHomeRun Prime. I'll attach my 3 latest ffmpeg logs. ffmpeg-transcode-c0779faf-70cf-4cd1-8d6d-c7d250629c80_1.txt ffmpeg-transcode-6cfa2f29-8235-44bd-9a00-24b87cce03bb_1.txt ffmpeg-transcode-0cbbd143-543f-424f-8234-da5992426587_1.txt
Carlo 4561 Posted January 1, 2022 Posted January 1, 2022 Hi, I don't see anything in the logs. When playing back click the cog icon then open stats for nerds. What the reason it tells you it's transcoding? Do you see any frames being dropped?
pinkfamily7 2 Posted January 2, 2022 Author Posted January 2, 2022 It says "Media bitrate exceeds limit." I've dropped 43 frames, 0 corrupted frames. Transcoding info: Video Codec: H264 Audio codec: MP3 Bitrate: 7.0 Mbps Transcoding framerate: 60 fps Original media info: Container: mpegts Bitrate: 11.2 Mbps Video Codec: MPEG2VIDEO Main Video bitrate: 11.0 Mbps Audio Codec: AC3 Auto channels: 192 kbps Audio channels: 2 Audio sample rate: 48000 Hz
Carlo 4561 Posted January 5, 2022 Posted January 5, 2022 The obvious thing you can do if there is no bandwidth issue is change the bitrate setting on the client in the config section and set it higher. If it's set at auto just raise it. Then try it again. If this is on the same LAN as your server you can try the highest setting.
