Which is best to do Rip or Copy a DVD?

Emby Community,

I have been using DVDfab to copy my DVDs to my media system (Windows 10 Pro, Emby software and large storage). The issue is when I play the copied videos via Emby the video will only play for 5 to 15 minutes then freeze. I can't advance, go backwards or continue playing the video, from where it froze. So, the question is should I Rip or copy the videos?
