Display Mode

Hi, i just installed Emby for Android on an Android Tv Box. Your telling me i have to pay Monthly, Yearly or Lifetime just to unlock the Display Mode ??

Don't you think that should be unlocked if you purchase the Andoid app ??  Sounds like a bit of a rip off to me (no offense).

I understand you need to make some $, but charging twice for an android app that's not right imo.

Even if the android app was a bit more money, i would buy it as long as all the options in that app were unlocked.

So when you buy an android app you don't expect everything in that app to be unlocked ?

By unlocking client app you're unlocking full playback, not Premiere features.

At the end of the day you are still paying twice for the app. (Pay to unlock it, pay for premiere features within the app)

Does not mention anything here about the Display settings within the app, maybe you should include it in this list ?

Yes you are correct, but if someone is looking for a streaming app and they see the advertised limitations and think ok i will buy that, then install the app and see there is even more limitations in the settings, what you advertise in the first place is different to many limitaions are actually in the app.

I just find it odd to pay twice to unlock the client apps features. Pay to play, pay to change display mode.

You actually have to pay only once, as Premiere unlocks everything. This was just a set of unfortunate circumstances (or an oversight while reading through the options ), I'm quite positive that if you address your query to:

billingsupport@emby.media

some sort of a solution can be found so you can direct your payment towards Premiere subscription which would give you features you require.
