saifshaikh1721 0 Posted December 19, 2021 Posted December 19, 2021 (edited) I am running server on Ubuntu 20.04. Everything works really well except for some videos. Not sure why they are forever stuck on loading screen. The source of the videos is my mega drives which I have mounted on to a local folder. This issue has been occurring since last night. Earlier, it worked fine. Please guide me in the right direction. Edited December 19, 2021 by saifshaikh1721
saifshaikh1721 0 Posted December 19, 2021 Author Posted December 19, 2021 I figured out the reason. It seems that that mega storage has a daily transfer quota. Is there a workaround to overcome that?

saifshaikh1721 0 Posted December 19, 2021 Author Posted December 19, 2021 But if I implement VPN on the server, wouldn't it cause the client some difficulty to access the emby server as the client device connects to the server through a static IP address?

It will make connections more complicated, yes, but nothing that can't be figured out.

Yes it would indeed. But as you have choosen Mega (which i havent used) rather than say Google Drive (which i use) which itself has certain restrictions but a very high DL limit cap (unlikely to every reach) these are the measures you will have to look into.
saifshaikh1721 0 Posted December 19, 2021 Author Posted December 19, 2021 I prefer Google Drive too but I wanted to merge multiple drives into a single mount point using rclone and google drive doesn't fully support rclone's union remote "create" policies which is a big problem.

Fair point, im not a user of merger fs or union fs so was not aware of that issue myself as i use a UL drive via rclone
