waldofeng 0 Posted November 26, 2021 Posted November 26, 2021 I recently updated my EMBY to 4.6.6. Trouble started there. At 4.6.5, I was able to have local and remote access, once the update to 4.6.6, and 4.6.7, I no longer can access through LAN or WAN. I am using windows 7, 32 bit, sp2. The port forwarding as not been changed and checking my network, the port has been established I use Norton antivirus This is so frustrating and I am going overseas for a few weeks. I really like to have at least my WAN back. I uninstalled and resinstalled several times. Please help. I am not an IT person which is why I liked emby so much for the setup.

HI there, let's start with the LAN, where port forwarding is not required. Are you able to access the Emby Server web interface using another device such as a smart phone?
waldofeng 0 Posted November 28, 2021 Author Posted November 28, 2021 No. I used my LG TV and phones. I log into Emby connect. I see the server name, when I select the server, no connection. Only the localhost can use emby. My LAN IP 192.168.0.27 unable to access with any computer or phone in the network.

Are you sure that 192.168.0.27 is the correct address?
waldofeng 0 Posted November 28, 2021 Author Posted November 28, 2021 Yes. It’s in the emby dashboard. Also when I check netstat. Seems that emby program may not be communicating with the server which it created. I am a novice at this. Before the updates, everything I set up was fine.

Thanks.
waldofeng 0 Posted December 16, 2021 Author Posted December 16, 2021 i have tried troubleshooter several times. While using the desktop, can access emby with localhost. Cannot access with the remote IP6 address with any device in the network.. Cannot access emby with any device in the network unless I use IVP6 address remote address. Cannot remote IVP6 outside the network. SHould I try erasing everything and start from scratch again. Should I try and install the beta version.
Luke 42083 Posted December 17, 2021 Posted December 17, 2021 Quote Cannot access with the remote IP6 address with any device in the network. @waldofeng this might be normal and our connection troubleshooter goes over this. Did you see that?
Luke 42083 Posted December 17, 2021 Posted December 17, 2021 Quote SHould I try erasing everything and start from scratch again. Should I try and install the beta version. No because this is probably not an Emby Server issue, but more of a problem of getting from point A to point B. Did you try ipv4? @Happy2Play can you split all posts starting with waldofeng's first post on the first page, into the windows section? Thanks.
waldofeng 0 Posted December 17, 2021 Author Posted December 17, 2021 ivp4 works with other applications nut through different portals. is there a way i can do a complete clean install of emby, making sure all the hidden files are erased?
Luke 42083 Posted December 18, 2021 Posted December 18, 2021 If you really want to, yes you could uninstall, reinstall. You can do that from windows programs.
