I have Emby Premiere but can't get Live TV working

Good evening, I appear to be stuck in the same boat.  Originally I have had this set up working for almost a year with no issues.  Today upgraded to a M.2 ssd and re-installed windows 10 now I am unable to get live tv working.  I know it is working because I am able to pull the channel list from the test that the developer suggested, "In a web browser, connect to http://<IP of PC running cetonproxy>:5004/lineup.xml to make sure it responds with the set of channels you configured above."  and also I am able to play video through vlc.  For whatever reason emby is not detecting the tuner, I remember when i first did the set up emby would auto detect it as a HDHR.  Even when i manually input the tuner ip address, it detects it and I run the initial live tv set up and get a guide, but does not work.  The guide acts as if it is updating but stops. I do not know what I am doing wrong?  Thank you.

Hi @fiftiy5o what exactly does not work once you have the guide up?

If you're unable to play then let's look at an example:

Thanks !

Hi, what do you mean by not loading? Did you setup guide data in Emby Live TV setup?

Just in case, this problem is effecting another person.  So I got it working, I guess it has something to do with the newer versions of Emby.  I installed a older version back from 2020 when I first started using emby and it detected it without manually typing in the  IP address. I just updated from their and the settings stuck..  For whatever reason when you put the IP address of the card in newer versions of emby it will not take it.  Thanks

HI, it's best to get to the root of the problem, which we can do if you'll provide the information previously requested. Thanks.

I already fixed it and explained what the issue was?

Right, but this is not a widespread problem. It is specific to your environment, so it would be nice to find out why, which the information I requested previously could potentially help tell us.

@fiftiy5o How do you migrate to the M.2 card?  Did you use a drive cloning tool or did you just put it in and then install Windows and Emby?

I'm asking because I would think if you cloned the drive the settings would be identical and you would not have had to change anything.

I reinstalled windows and tried to reinstall the newest version of Emby.  It was not a clone drive.  Only until I installed a older version of Emby was it able to see the Ceton card.  From there I just did a upgrade to Emby,  and settings stuck.

I wonder if using the Ceton proxy had anything to do with it?

Since you have a new OS install with some of the core apps installed.  It would probably be a great time to get a complete backup of that drive just to have.

@cayars I'm not really sure.  I had connected the old ssd to check the settings.  Once I saw I had the correct settings, I figured installing older version of emby would fix the issue which it did.   I was able to update it to the newest emby and have it save the settings.  Its possible it has something to do with ceton proxy as it has not been updated in a year.

Yea, maybe.  We'll never know now, but it's not that important at this point as you're good to go now.

Did you try streaming via vlc to test ceton proxy?

It wasn't that.. it was an issue on how newer versions of emby was seeing the ceton tuner.  Once I downgraded emby to a build in 2020 it started to see the tuner.  then I just proceeded to update to the newest version of emby and all has been work working well
