datanet 131 Posted December 16, 2021 Posted December 16, 2021 Feature request. Since it appears to be a client-side configuration, is there a possibility of adding a setting to adjust the number of Latest items that are displayed. The number of items displayed seems to be different based on whichever client app you are using. I realize you can go in to the individual libraries and sort by date added, but most of my family members rarely venture in to the individual libraries and then go and change the sort options. They just automatically go to the latest items for each library and it doesn't take much for fairly recent items to get knocked out of view when there is only 20 items (or less) that are visible. Making this number user (or app settings) selectable would be a great feature. 1
ebr 16173 Posted December 17, 2021 Posted December 17, 2021 It is possible for the future. The problem is that, no matter how we label it or how many warnings we display, people will turn that number up to 100 or something and then say Emby is garbage because it is too slow.
datanet 131 Posted December 17, 2021 Author Posted December 17, 2021 Understood. Am I correct in assuming this would be a client-side setting? I would think a warning of "Setting this number too high may affect performance" would be an adequate warning and then users could play around with the number that provides the best usability vs performance for their needs.
