Installation on Ubuntu not in default folder - breaking dependencies

I wish to install Emby Server directly on Ubuntu 20.04. The default folder is

/opt/emby-server

However I wish to deploy to

/usr/lib/emby-server

I understand the installation approach to do this is meant to be

dpkg -i emby-server-deb_4.6.7.0_amd64.deb /usr/lib/

This did not work, and as part of my research there was a concern that changing the default dpkg folder risks a break in the dependencies. I have a few plugins, but not a great deal more.

So before I return to trying to implement in a different folder, I want to ensure that I will not be breaking anything in Emby if I change the install folder?

If anyone also knows the dpkg command that would also be a bonus.

Before I am advised try a docker image, I need to go learn docker so I can create my own images as a number of "safe repos" have surfaced with Mozi.bot. So taking the opportunity to learn the deployment options for Emby as part of that process.

Hi, this isn't something we've tried, so right now I'm afraid you'll have to just give it a shot and let us know how it goes. Thanks.
