Book library

I set up a library with epubs and cbz. I used Calibre and ComicRack to rename and add metadata. Files are not stored in Calibre's wacky folder structure but in one top level folder named Books. I cannot get Emby to read any of the files. I cannot get covers or metadata. What am I doing wrong?

Hi, we don't currently support reading those metadata files, but it's planned for the future. Do your book files have images next to them?

If the server does not yet read book metadata, why does the knowledge base use wording such as "To improve matching..."?

No images, I haven't figured out how to get the server to extract cover images.

A long time ago we were able to get metadata from Google books so I think that is why.

Right now you would just have to add your own images next to the book files.

Emby Server 4.9.1.8+ will now have a book reader in the web app for the following formats:

• EPUB
• MOBI
• FB2
• CBZ
• PDF
