Too many errors. Give up.

After about 40 seconds of playing the video, an error message appears.

Server : Synology 218+ (emby-server-synology7_4.7.0.19_x86_64.spk)

Client : Mi TV(ATV) / Google Play Store Emby for Android TV

CC : OFF

Please tell me how to solve it.

This error does not occur in Internet browsers or Android smartphones. And Mostly it happens with TV files, not movies.

There is nothing wrong with installing the app and playing. (Emby for Android)

Did you send a log from the app?  At what time and under what user?

If you are using Android TV/Fire TV and your problem is with playback, please send the log directly from the playback OSD.
There will be an option on the "cog" menu.

 

Reproduce your problem and then use this button to send the log.  Then add the following information to your report in the forum:
 
  • Exactly what you were doing and what happened.  Include the name of whatever you played if it is a playback problem
  • The time you sent the log (in Eastern Time please - UTC -5)
  • The name of the Emby user on the local server that was logged in at the time

Hi.  There is some sort of issue with the audio.

These are different errors. (I can't speak English, so I translated it with a translator, so please understand.)

1. Too many errors. Give up. Error message play stop :  SendLog ID : mi /  2021.12.17 04:47(UTC+9) (Posting again with incorrect log time)

Hi.  I mean how was the file created?  It looks like something in the way it is encoded is not what is expected.

---> This file is an old entertainment TV show file, and it was downloaded from the Internet. And this file is different from Too many errors. Give up Error Message.

This file error also occurred in the external player MX Player (H/W codec). MX Player(S/W codec) was played.

With the Emby ATV app (Beta) built-in player, if play with Quality 2Mb/s or less, it will be played. Anything more than that will fail.

Hi.  Yes, that would confirm that the video is created in such a way that the internal decoders on the device cannot play it.  If you can remux or reencode the file, it may fix it.  Or you can force a transcode on the server as you did with the bitrate.

You're saying it played well with the side loaded app? What version did you have?

Hi.  When the item plays with the sideloaded app, is an ffmpeg log produced?
