pgriffith 88 Posted December 12, 2021 Posted December 12, 2021 Hi all Just had to change the IP of an Emby server (outside DHCP scope). Is there a way to refresh the uPnP settings? The router is still showing 2 UPnP entries showing the old IP address. There is no way to delete those entries in the router like you can do with a manual port forward. It's been 2 days now with no change. Is there anyway to force Emby to refresh those entries to the router. I realise I can do some manual entries, rather just leave it UPnP if I can. Cheers
Happy2Play 9785 Posted December 12, 2021 Posted December 12, 2021 Have you restarted your router? Or disabling upnp and reenabling? 1

Q-Droid 989 Posted December 12, 2021 Posted December 12, 2021 UPnP should be one of the first things disabled on every home router.
Carlo 4561 Posted December 16, 2021 Posted December 16, 2021 Yes I agree. That's almost the first thing I do with any remote support session involving remote access. It has a slim chance of working these days. When it does work, it can cause problems if the host is using DHCP and gets a new IP. It also tends to spam the log files when the option is tuned on and UPnP isn't available. Time to give UPnP the old heave-ho. It's just really a bad idea to let any software inside you LAN open ports on your router.
