I have a macOS version of Emby running just great. I wanted to free up the system I I installed Ubuntu on a old mac mini. Using emby Ubuntu Arm64. I'm noticing  a lot of bugs.

enby file scan fails to find all files (Files are in same folder). Movies show in macOS version missing in Linux version

Collections (Auto Box Sets installed) don't seem to work picking all collections. again works on macOS fails on Linux.

nfo files are with the movie file both servers have the same library folders assigned.

Am I missing something ? Also it would be nice to get some 4k metadata in so when a 4k UHD movie is loaded it picks up the right 4k image and resolution for a further collections of 4k movies

Minus specific examples and server logs it is really hard to say.

Auto Box Set plugin in obsolete as of 4.6 and is items metadata driven per library settings.

Sorry to say I can’t continue with my issue. Thinking the Ubuntu installation was bad I wiped the disk and did a Ubuntu reinstall. Now I can’t install Emby. Something about dependencies missing.

Hi, what dependencies missing? What is the exact error message that you get? What is the version of Ubuntu?

The message displayed “Unable to install emby-server: The following packages have unmet dependencies:”. Nothing follows, there is no list of dependencies. I’m trying to install emby-server-deb_4.6.7.0_arm64.deb.

What version of Ubuntu? Can you please supply the complete terminal output? Thanks.

@WaterMonster Our package has no dependency, so this error message is surprising. Just to be sure, can you post the output of the following command?

uname -a

Thank you for the above responses to my issue. They led me to believe somewhere one on my installs was bad.

ok, I started from scrach and did a new Ubuntu 20.4 format and install from a USB stick. Downloaded emby Ubuntu X64 and Installed from the Ubuntu installer. I did a smb connect to my 2 Drobo network drives from Ubuntu files app. All went well for the setup. The emby server seems to have picked up all of the movie folders on the network drives that were missed from the first install. So it's looking like the server is working correctly. This resolves my issue from above missing files and emby bugs.

I also have a usb external drive MS-DOS fat (connected directly and mounted automatically) via Ubuntu. I cant seem to get the the correct path accepted in the emby server folder path. I used the parent path from the properties of the mounted usb drive, same as when I setup the 2 network smb connected drives. emby can not find the path. I saw another post about this same problem and they said to check the drive permissions for the GROUP.  Group permissions need to be set correctly. The Owner is set to me and GROUP is set to my username. I am unsure of what needs to be set so emby server can see this local external usb drive. Any suggestions to point me in the correct direction to resolve this issues

Regarding permissions, have you taken a look at this?
