Maybe you could change the German name for the age rating. It says

"Bewertung"

following by the number like 16. But Rating means in this case not

"Bewertung"

it should mean

"Altersfreigabe"

what means age rating.

In my test I am seeing "Bewertet"

from common strings de.json

"RatedValue": "Bewertet {0}",

Isn't that a proper translation?

Age rating menas Altersfreigabe what means that is the age you should have to watch this movie/series/show.

You can use rated but this isn't a word that is used in German speaking countries for age rating.

I agree and just amended it in OneSky:

Is this overlay only available for live tv? It is not displayed on movies or series.

In fact, I just tested .48 beta (Emby mobile) and it showed me the rating on a movie using the TV layout on my MiBox S.

Then I would check your metadata for your movies using the Emby metadata editor and make sure they have ratings assigned.

All movies has these ratings added. It is working now after cleaning cache but only on movies and TV and only on the WebIf.

I noticed that all series have a age rating but this is only for the Series not for each episode. Is there an option to add an rating for episodes at once?

I tried the meta editor tool but it's a lot of work to edit so many series

Adding options to control it is always possible.

Not according to @ebr it's not.

In any case, this should have been thought about before it was implemented.

In love this feature but I think an on off switch could satisfy every user instead of removing this

Re-read my posts.  I said no such thing.

Yes you did. You said no option.

I read his comments as we'll wait and see what the feedback is. It makes sense. We never want to throw things in just to throw them in. We measure feedback to help determine where to allocate our resources.

But you're imposing something on a user that 1) didn't request it and 2) doesn't want to see it.

There are more people currently not wanting it, than wanting it.

Even the user that originally requested think having the option is a good idea.

Please stop adding things that impact UX, without the option to turn it off.

I think it's a good idea and will use it if it remains as an option, but it does lose some of its impact without the reason.

So the usual process on FR's is the team wait to see how much interest there is - and then maybe allocate resources to it sometime in the future if it gains traction.

This FR has had ZERO likes - and yet it has been implemented.

There are maybe 100's of FR requests with many likes - and yet this one has jumped them all... 🤔

And to top it off - it has been implemented without the ability to turn it off.

Personally, I have no issues with it - and maybe it was an easy win - but when other fundamental aspects of the system are still missing that have been waiting YEARS to be implemented, it's a little odd to see these 'features' creeping in under the radar.

Yep I totally agree, low hanging fruit that looks good as far as some people are concerned.. and brings in peeps that think there Netflix.. 🙄

Stuff like user playlists or playlists in general is to hard for these guys.. and doesn't attract there paying user base, which is illegal servers!

I just want to watch my media on my local network, this fluff means nothing to me or my family!
