Orion328 1 Posted December 5, 2021 Posted December 5, 2021 Hello. This has been driving me crazy. When I use my Emby remotely via Firefox, all videos play perfectly. However, when I get home to continue watching that same video on my Roku, it gives the circle with 13% loaded and just stays there. After about 5-10min the video will finally play. I actually noticed this issue a couple Roku updates ago. Before that, I never had a problem with playing ANY type of video file. Below is an example of a video that plays fine via Emby using Firefox, but is insanely slow to load on the Roku. General Complete name: The Bastard Executioner.S01E07.Behold the Lamb Gwel Yr Oen.mp4 Format: MPEG-4 Format profile: Base Media / Version 2 Codec ID: mp42 (isom/iso2/avc1/mp41) File size: 943 MiB Duration: 1 h 2 min Overall bit rate: 2 125 kb/s Video ID: 1 Format: AVC Format/Info: Advanced Video Codec Format profile: High@L3.1 Format settings: CABAC / 4 Ref Frames Format settings, CABAC: Yes Format settings, Reference frames: 4 frames Codec ID: avc1 Codec ID/Info: Advanced Video Coding Duration: 1 h 2 min Bit rate: 1 481 kb/s Width: 1 280 pixels Height: 720 pixels Display aspect ratio: 16:9 Frame rate mode: Variable Frame rate: 23.976 (24000/1001) FPS Minimum frame rate: 23.974 FPS Maximum frame rate: 23.981 FPS Color space: YUV Chroma subsampling: 4:2:0 Bit depth: 8 bits Scan type: Progressive Bits/(Pixel*Frame): 0.067 Stream size: 657 MiB (70%) Writing library: x264 core 148 r2708 86b7198 Encoding settings: cabac=1 / ref=3 / deblock=1:-1:-1 / analyse=0x3:0x113 / me=hex / subme=7 / psy=1 / psy_rd=1.00:0.15 / mixed_ref=1 / me_range=16 / chroma_me=1 / trellis=1 / 8x8dct=1 / cqm=0 / deadzone=21,11 / fast_pskip=1 / chroma_qp_offset=-3 / threads=6 / lookahead_threads=1 / sliced_threads=0 / nr=0 / decimate=1 / interlaced=0 / bluray_compat=0 / constrained_intra=0 / bframes=3 / b_pyramid=2 / b_adapt=1 / b_bias=0 / direct=1 / weightb=1 / open_gop=0 / weightp=2 / keyint=240 / keyint_min=24 / scenecut=40 / intra_refresh=0 / rc_lookahead=40 / rc=crf / mbtree=1 / crf=23.0 / qcomp=0.60 / qpmin=0 / qpmax=69 / qpstep=4 / ip_ratio=1.40 / aq=1:1.00 Color range: Limited Color primaries: BT.709 Transfer characteristics: BT.709 Matrix coefficients: BT.709 Codec configuration box: avcC Audio ID: 2 Format: AC-3 Format/Info: Audio Coding 3 Commercial name: Dolby Digital Codec ID: ac-3 Duration: 1 h 2 min Bit rate mode: Constant Bit rate: 640 kb/s Channel(s): 6 channels Channel layout: L R C LFE Ls Rs Sampling rate: 48.0 kHz Frame rate: 31.250 FPS (1536 SPF) Compression mode: Lossy Stream size: 284 MiB (30%) Title: Surround / Surround Language: English Service kind: Complete Main Default: Yes Alternate group: 1 Like I said, I'm thinking this is more a Roku issue than it is an Emby issue. Any help would be appreciated.
Luke 42085 Posted December 5, 2021 Posted December 5, 2021 Hi there, can we please look at an example of how it's playing? Thanks !
Orion328 1 Posted December 5, 2021 Author Posted December 5, 2021 You mean like the "loading" circle going round and round, with 13% in the middle of it... example of how it's playing?
ebr 16195 Posted December 5, 2021 Posted December 5, 2021 Hi. No, there are instructions in that topic Luke linked to of what to provide.
