Are All Server Settings Stored In The system.xml File?

Just curious to know if all server settings are stored in the system.xml file.  Or are there any settings (excluding media metadata) that get stored somewhere else?

Thanks,

Harry

The majority of settings are in that same folder, but you have libraries in their own folder and actual serverid in data folder.

Are you looking for anything specific?

Just trying to get a better understanding of how Emby settings work in case I want to back them up or restore them.  Future planning I guess.

Thanks,

Harry

If you are a Premiere user, you have the Server Configuration Backup plugin for configs and user/userdata.

Otherwise, your best option is to back up the entire server programdata folder.

This KB article covers what you need to backup https://support.emby.media/support/solutions/articles/44001159936-configuration-backup

I'll add that you should shut down the server and make a copy of the data folder once a month or two just to always have a backup of those files. That way if anything ever went wrong with a database you would have a known good copy to build from.  In the case of the library.db file it would just need to scan your libraries to remove or add anything new since it was backed up.
