Nostromo86 17 Posted November 22, 2021 Posted November 22, 2021 Hello, Do you know why I have duplicate versions? There is a way to reindex the database cleanly View attachments thank you
Luke 42085 Posted November 22, 2021 Posted November 22, 2021 Hi, that's strange. Try running a library scan and see if that helps.

Carlo 4561 Posted November 23, 2021 Posted November 23, 2021 Hi, what does it show you at the bottom of the detail screen for these 4? Are the paths duplicated or do they point to different locations? How many of your movies are like this? Try doing a search of your movie library for one of those episode (complete file name) to make sure there is only one version. Let us know what you find.

Hi, I don't know how many films are affected because I have 20,000 If I search, I can see that a movie I have only 2 strm See the attachments for the answers to your questions
Happy2Play 9784 Posted November 23, 2021 Posted November 23, 2021 But that image shows 4 versions, 2 mkv files and 2 strm files even if there are only 2 strm files in the folder. Have not tested multi-versioning strm files but I know the UI no longer shows strm files for a individual item once it has metadata. Will have to do some testing when I get a chance.

Yes the MKV files are my strm files. i have only strm files on my server and all its okay, just few movie with duplicate files
Carlo 4561 Posted November 23, 2021 Posted November 23, 2021 Hi, can you show us what the folder structure looks like for that movie? Would you mind doing a test for me? Move that movie folder out of the library and perform a full library scan. Us the button at the on the right side from the Library menu. Now do a search for that move. Does anything show up? Now go to scheduled tasks and run the rotate log job and make sure Enable Debug Logging is off. Go back and run a full library scan again. Grab a copy of the server log at this point to upload. Navigate back to this movie again. Does it still show 2 of both or just 1? If still a problem please upload the server log with the full library scan as well as the two NFO files and the pic of the folder. Thanks
Happy2Play 9784 Posted November 23, 2021 Posted November 23, 2021 Does this happen on other media? I have not been able to reproduce this. STRM files that show media info do not show strm also. Can you remove the media, scan the library, verify with search the media has been removed, then re-add the media. Do you get the same results?

Hi, I did what you said ans its good see attchments But i have 20000 movies, and i dont know what file is affected if I move my entire film folder, it will take 24 hours to rescan everything
Carlo 4561 Posted November 25, 2021 Posted November 25, 2021 You could probably do this is batches by movies parts of the library out in sections, do the full scan, move them back and do another full scan. Repeat with next batch. That way you never take the whole library down at one time. If you know SQL you could write a query to pull this info from the library.db file. Just shutdown Emby server, make a copy of the library.db file and bring Emby back up. Now you can run SQL against the copy. If you want to zip up your library.db file and PM it to me I could take a look at this to see if I see any reason this is happening, check for any errors in the database as well as give you list of the dupes back. It's possible I could remove the dupes for you as well but I'd have to see it first.
