CChris 59 Posted November 22, 2021 Posted November 22, 2021 Hi, I am not quite sure, if this is a known issue - and if this might be related to API Changes on TV DB... but I've noticed some issues with recently added TV Shows - or at least, with their Seasons. For example, I do have several StarTrek shows - and until now, all Seasons could be collected as expected: As you can see in the Picture ST-TNG_Seasons, all seasons are shown as "Season 1, Seson 2, Season 3, ..." But now, I've added also: Star Trek - Picard, Star Trek - Lower Decks, and Season 3 for Star Trek - Discovery. The first thing I've noticed was, that For Star Trek Discovery, I had the Season 1 and Season 2 recognized correctly - but Season Three was just shown as "TV Series" (ST-DIS_Season_old). Refreshing Metadata for Season three did not change anything ... therefore, I've tried to refresh the Metadata for the whole TV Show - which resulted in this (ST-DIS_Season_new) -- All Seasons have been renamed to "TV Series"... And when I am trying to change the Cover-Art, I do not get all available Covers from TVDB... I've then checked other tv shows - and the same does apply for: StarTrek - Picard, Star Trek - Lower Decks, The Expanse, The Walking Dead - as you can see from the screenshots, it happens for all newer seasons. Is this something expected? Do I have to refresh all TV Shows - and will they then change to the same (showing TV Series, instead of Season X?) Thanks and with best regards, Christoph
Luke 42085 Posted November 22, 2021 Posted November 22, 2021 HI, I think these are all fine. What you're seeing is what happens when you don't have a poster at the season level - it shows the series folder in place of it. You could try using the image editor to download season posters and see if that helps. Thanks.

That's one of the issues - I can't search for any poster image on Season Level... it doesn't show anything. And if you check the "Discovery" TV Show - for Season 1 & 2 I had posters - and they have been recognized correctly (as season 1 and season 2) but the other seasons are shown as "TV Series" - so they don't get any Season Information... After refreshing the MetaData for the whole TV Show of Startrek Discovery, all Seasons have been changed to "TV Series" instead of their corresponding season - and all previously matched Covers were gone. For me, it seems that there is some kind of issue with the API request against TheTvDB - but I was unable to detect anything within the logs that could explain what's wrong...
Luke 42085 Posted November 22, 2021 Posted November 22, 2021 What image fetchers do you have enabled for seasons?

Hi, Thanks for that hint While checking the settings, I just added some of the image fetcher options additionally - and now, I were able to match all missing seasons etc. here are the original settings: image_fetcher_issued.png and here are the settings after the changes (when I could resolve the issue):
CChris 59 Posted November 22, 2021 Author Posted November 22, 2021 the only thing I don't really understand is how this happened. I haven't changed anything in my setting - therefore, I expect, that something on the TV DB has changed since the last time when I added new seasons?

Without logs of when this happened it is impossible to say, but can say I don't not see this behavior on any of my systems. In the image editor do you get images from each provider? Star Trek Discovery Season 1 1
CChris 59 Posted November 23, 2021 Author Posted November 23, 2021 no, TheTVDB doesn't provide any images... And I think, that was the reason in my case... also "FanArt" did not show anything... After adding the other image providers, the "Season" information was added without any further requirement (to select an image, etc.) The only thing that was required was to refresh meta-data for the Show again. After that, all Seasons were renamed to their correct season Number.
