Google Chromecast from outside the Home Network

Is it possible to cast to my chromcast from the browser interface outside my LAN?

 

Also, should there be a thread dedicated to the web interface? I was not sure where I should ask this.

The web interface is considered a part of the server so you're in the right place.

Cool! i figured it out!

It threw me off because if i click the Remote/Player Icon before playing something my chromecast was not listed. I had to start playing something in the browser with google chrome then the icon would appear in the top left corner of the screen to push it to my chromecast. 

 

Hopefully this will be more stable for me than my experience with the android native app.
