Playback error on Emby Theater (Windows 10)

So I'm having a funny issue with Emby Theater on windows 10. Related to my recent upload of the bluray version of Star trek tng.

I try to play certain episodes from season 6 on the the theater app, and they wont load, and I'm greeted with this error message:

"Playback Error: No compatiable streams are currently available. Please try again later, or contact your system administrator for details"

Now here's the odd thing. EVERYTHING else in this series works fine, and if I try to launch these errored episodes on the player directly through my browser server, they work just fine. So what gives?

Hi, you have a lot of errors in your logs with bad naming or media with issues.
For example:
file:G:\TV\Star Trek The Next Generation Season 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6 & 7 + Extras (1080p BD x265 10bit FS79 Joy)\Star Trek The Next Generation Season 1  (1080p BD x265 10bit FS79 Joy)\Extras\Stardate Revisited The Origin of Star Trek TNG Part 3 The Continuing Mission.mkv

That's not going to work very well and Emby can't access that file.
Take a look at our naming conventions for movies and tv shows:

When in doubt about something click the help button in the Emby dashboard which will link you to sections like the above.

Looks like ffprobe is having issues reading a lot of files.  Since it show "streams and format are both null", Emby will not how to serve the files.

AND

	file:G:\TV\Justified (2010)\Justified.S04.Season.4.720p.5.1Ch.BluRay.ReEnc-DeeJayAhmed\Justified.S04E03.720p.5.1Ch.BluRay.ReEnc-DeeJayAhmed.mkv: Invalid data found when processing input

So it looks like multiple issue.

1. Would appear to be a path issue (might be issue 3)

2. Looks like there many be a file header issue.

3. As Cayars mentioned potential naming issues

Thank you for the replies. I figured the names were going to be an issue, but the auto ident is usually pree good at solving them. I'll try cleaning them up by hand post the results. Thanks again!

Right so, I renamed all the stuff. Rescanned it all. And just to be on the safe side, uninstalled theater and server. But now this happens (see attachment)

Hi @PublicEnemyv189 so you're trying to reinstall the server, is that right? Can you try rebooting your machine and see if that helps?

Yes that's right, cannot at the moment but i will first chance i get and report back
