miltonnas218 1 Posted November 19, 2021 Posted November 19, 2021 Hi people i cannot seem to get missing episodes to show up on Emby, i have been reading through other threads and nothing seems to work. i am running latest version of emby and can select show missing episodes when i have the emby program open and go to my user icon but cannot find where else to select it on emby server. i have tries moving files around and rescaning etc my problem is sopranos episode 14 season 6 is correctly labeled and will not show up in emby even though it is there and same format and that of the rest of the episodes, i assume if it showed up as missing i could select it and tell it where to locate it? Please be gentle i am only new to this whole NAS thing and is a bit above my computing skills

Nope. 28 minutes ago, miltonnas218 said: but cannot find where else to select it on emby server. In your TV Shows library settings, select "Show advanced settings", scroll down and eventually you'll come up to checkbox for "Display missing episodes within seasons" option. However, if above is the reason for you wanting so, I'd stay clear of that and let's try to troubleshoot why your episode 14 ain't showing. For starters, although that naming convention you're using appears to be supported (as it may break at any point, and I suspect that episode name is confusing parser in that format), I would recommend you rename those to one of the officially supported ones, as per KB article (for example SxxExx), and then rescan: https://support.emby.media/support/solutions/articles/44001159110-tv-naming Let us know how you get on. miltonnas218 1 Posted November 19, 2021 Author Posted November 19, 2021 am starting to think either the file is corrupt ( i can watch it fine through vlc ) or the imd database for it is faulty as usually if it cant figure out what episode it is it usually just puts it at the bottom as an extra episode but in this case i have 21 video files in that season folder but it is only picking up 20 - i will do the missing episode thing to see if it knows one is missing and following that re download the episode - cheers

CBers 7474 Posted November 19, 2021 Posted November 19, 2021 (edited) It may be that episode 14 has the "Stage 5" in it, so Emby may be getting confused. If you just name it "The Sopranos Season 6 Episode 14" it may work. I personally name mine like this: "The Sopranos - 6x14". Edited November 19, 2021 by CBers
