Luke 42077 Posted November 14, 2021 Posted November 14, 2021 Hi, looks like they're sending back a forbidden response, which means they're blocking you temporarily, likely due to hitting them too hard with requests. What is the schedule for the subtitles download scheduled task?
V@l123 3 Posted November 15, 2021 Author Posted November 15, 2021 Hi, It's scheduled one every 24h . I created a new account and i've got the same error

Luke 42077 Posted November 15, 2021 Posted November 15, 2021 Do you have any other software that uses open subtitles?
V@l123 3 Posted November 15, 2021 Author Posted November 15, 2021 No i don't have any other software that uses open subtitles
Carlo 4560 Posted November 17, 2021 Posted November 17, 2021 Are you running a VPN or anything similar? If so they are likely blocking by IP.
V@l123 3 Posted November 21, 2021 Author Posted November 21, 2021 No 'im just uusing no ip because my public ip change every 2 or 3 day du to my provider
Carlo 4560 Posted November 22, 2021 Posted November 22, 2021 (edited) Going back taking a look at your logs it's returning forbidden. I would turn off open subs completely for a day or two. Then try it manually. That will give a good indication if it was a temp ban or not. If that doesn't work you will need to send them an email enquiring why you're getting a forbidden message. V@l123 3 Posted January 21, 2022 Author Posted January 21, 2022 I tried it and it didn't work. I wrote an email to opensubtitle support and they ask me to check this URL https://www.opensubtitles.org/addons/show_my_ip.php and it confirm that i didn't reach the limit or i'm not banned but i still can't download subtitle from opensubtitle
rbjtech 5284 Posted January 21, 2022 Posted January 21, 2022 (edited) I think the existing site is still working fine - I checked this and it was downloading SRT's ok yesterday. I changed passwords because I can, but it was originally a password manager generated unique password so I had no real need to. The concern/warning is for those that use the same email and password for multiple sites - a big no-no, but people still do it. Edited January 21, 2022 by rbjtech

You NEED to do this (and subsequently change it in Emby too), as all opensubtitle accounts have been suspended until you change your password - re the hack - as indicated earlier.

V@l123 3 Posted February 2, 2022 Author Posted February 2, 2022 Every time i try to download subtitle with emby (manualy or via a scheduled task ) I've got the error in attachment log_opensub_02022022.txt
BillOatman 596 Posted February 2, 2022 Posted February 2, 2022 The experts know more than I do obviously, but from the log: Quote Info HttpClient: POST https://api.opensubtitles.org/xml-rpc Error SubtitleManager: Error downloading subtitles from Open Subtitles MediaBrowser.Model.Net.HttpException: MediaBrowser.Model.Net.HttpException: Forbidden Either your credentials are wrong for that site (though usually that's a unauthorized error), or they have you blocked for some reason.
rbjtech 5284 Posted February 2, 2022 Posted February 2, 2022 https://www.opensubtitles.org/addons/show_my_ip.php If you login to opensubtitle.org and re-run the command above - what does it show you ? This is what I get returned :- Global (system) download limit: 200 per 24 hours Detected IP(s): Array Raw IPs: XXX Detected Country: gb BANNED: No User Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (Windows NT 10.0; Win64; x64) AppleWebKit/537.36 (KHTML, like Gecko) Chrome/97.0.4692.99 Safari/537.36 Edg/97.0.1072.76 Accept Language: en-GB,en;q=0.9,en-US;q=0.8 FINAL RESULT: Accepting download You are logged-in on OpenSubtitles.org as XXX SYSTEM should count downloads by USER ID Total download limit: 200 ========================================== List of downloaded subtitles per IP: XXX.XXX.XXX.XXX for last 24 hours - total 0 Array ( ) ========================================== List of downloaded subtitles per USERID: XXX for last 24 hours - total 2 Array ( [0] => 187905 [1] => 8957438 ) You can download 198 subtitles more ==========================================
V@l123 3 Posted February 2, 2022 Author Posted February 2, 2022 I've got the following result it's seems that I'm not banned but the strange thing is that two raw ip where displayed. i don't know if it was the same for you ? rbjtech 5284 Posted February 2, 2022 Posted February 2, 2022 Mine was the same. So your account looks fine, so I'm really not sure why you get the error.
ebr 16169 Posted February 3, 2022 Posted February 3, 2022 Hi. So the next thing to investigate would be something in between your Emby server and them.
V@l123 3 Posted February 3, 2022 Author Posted February 3, 2022 Just to be sure i edited my emby setting and put aé dummy password instead of the good one and 've got the same error. then i log in opensubtitle using copy and past for my password and duplicate the operation on emby and i still got the same problem.
