miltonnas218 1 Posted November 13, 2021 Posted November 13, 2021 Ok Bazinga guy so im running a Synology nas218 with emby premiere. i could no longer run emby on my pc as it said a newer version was available so went into my package center on my nas unit and it said emby was upto date. i proceeded to update my Nas system as that was out of date and once updated it said emby was no longer compatible with this version and gave me the option to update it which i did. i am now running version 4.6.4 however nothing transferred over. i proceeded to reset up my account and added my premiere code but i cannot add media libraries, it shows volume1 with sub folder emby which i have my movie and tv show sub folders in but when i select emby it just goes blank, when i try add the directory manually it says the path cannot be found, i have checked on the nas system and these folders and sub folders say embysvr has full read write permissions already.. Help

Luke 42083 Posted November 13, 2021 Posted November 13, 2021 Hi there, what version of DSM is your unit running?
Carlo 4561 Posted November 13, 2021 Posted November 13, 2021 If you just updated to DSM 7 you need to migrate your Emby install as DSM 7 has all new security and stores programs now in different locations. We have instructions for how to migrate here: Just skip to the step after upgrading to DSM 7 and start from there.
miltonnas218 1 Posted November 14, 2021 Author Posted November 14, 2021 ok got it sorted, my embysys had full permissions but i deleted it and made new permissions for everyone giving full permission and it worked 1
