kingy444 117 Posted November 2, 2021 Posted November 2, 2021 I am trying to add some m3u8 files to the IPTV plugin - adding works fine as does playback The issue is (and taking a bit of assumption here) the quality of the stream begins at 480p and then upgrades to the best your connection can handle - EMBY appears to be checking the quality of the stream immediately as i have no way of selecting anything above '480p - 1 Mbs' I actually keep it on Auto most the time anyway, but what i am looking at here is for EMBY to be able to either force a certain quality, reanalyse the stream so that it is giving best quality etc example stream https://i.mjh.nz/au/Canberra/tv.sky1rw.m3u8 you will see the stream opens small and then increases res when bandwidth is allocated
Luke 42086 Posted November 2, 2021 Posted November 2, 2021 Hi there, let's look at an example: Thanks.

I can post a log should you think that will help - this isn’t such a problem I expect to be in the logs - the stream is playing but the issue is that when you first start the stream for the first 1-3 seconds the stream is quite small and then resolution will increase shortly after that Emby appears to determine the quality in the first connection to the stream but does not realise the quality got better after the initial connection I have other streams which stay a higher quality and these function fine please let me know if you need the log - this is an issue, but also falls into the enhancement category to correct how streams are treated
