Hey guys, I have an IPTV channel with 4 or 5 days of EPG data. I open the guide, see the show we want, I tell it to record the entire series, all episodes but it only record that one episodes and not any of the other ones. Is it supposed to work like this?

I did notice in my XML EPG data that there is no season or episode info for the show, does that matter?

Thanks!

Yes it matters a lot.  If Emby can't tell the season & episode it has nothing to work with and once you get one recording it's done as anything after that would be considered a duplicate.

You really need to find an alternate guide source that will provide the season/episode info.
If any of these channels are from the US, Canada or the UK you can setup one or more Emby Guides and manually map the channels to Emby sources for great EPG data. For anything not local based in the US a great choice is DirecTV and/or Dish as they typically have a good selection of channels to use.

Manually mapping channels isn't fun but you can map a few channels a day starting with your highest priority channels and your guide will get better and better as you go.

Thanks for the super fast response. The channel is from France, so I can't use Emby's guide data. Plex has native support for French EPG but it sucks at actually recording, so I'm trying to migrate to emby.

Any French EPG support in the works? Also, any upcoming support for recording shows just based on the show name?

Thanks.

I found another post in French where you mentioned https://xmltv.ch/ so i added the XML to the guide data sources and the series recordings are marking all of the episodes now! Thanks so much!
