Bigmixer 1 Posted October 25, 2021 Posted October 25, 2021 I have a strange occurrence happening in my movie library. Random movies are not showing up under the generic "Movies" but are showing under folders, in the search, in newest additions, etc. Is there a setting I am missing that is causing this. An example is: Dumb and Dumber Collection, Dumbo (live action), Dumbo, Dune, Dunkirk, E.T. The first picture shows the generic movie library and the second shows under folders. Dumb and Dumber and the middle three are missing from the generic listing. Any help would be appreciated. The pictures are from the IOS app, but are occurring in browsers as well as ROKU apps. I looked for a hide watched option, but didn't see one.
Solution Luke 42086 Posted October 25, 2021 Solution Posted October 25, 2021 Hi, I would check your enabled filters and view settings on the movies list.
Bigmixer 1 Posted October 25, 2021 Author Posted October 25, 2021 That was it! I don't know how but a filter was set to only PG movies. Thank you so much.
Carlo 4561 Posted October 25, 2021 Posted October 25, 2021 Also worth noting is you have Collections showing vs movies as well (nice feature). This can be turned on off at the client level for each library as well:
Bigmixer 1 Posted October 25, 2021 Author Posted October 25, 2021 Yes, I love the collections setting. Cleans up my massive library.
Carlo 4561 Posted October 25, 2021 Posted October 25, 2021 It has it's pros and cons which is probably why it's a user selectable option. Example: My daughter complained I didn't have Raiders of the Lost Ark when I know I do. She's looking in the R section of my 25K+ movie library but can't find it. I suggest she search or go to Indiana Jones as I figured she turned on the group into collections feature. I've tripped myself up a couple times as well with something like "Return of the Jedi" or "The Empire Strikes Back" which of course would be part of the Star Wars Collection. Works great for most movies but occasionally can throw you a curve ball.
