There was apparently an error during the conversion process. As a test, in server transcoding settings try turning off hardware transcoding and see if that helps.

Yes, it works without hw transcoding.

Could you please install the latest graphics drivers from the Intel website and retry?

Thanks,
sw

Did that, no difference. BTW, I also have AMD card inside this system, it works with that.

Does it fail with a specific file only, with some files only or with all files?

Thanks

OK, could you please go to "Transcoding", switch to "Advanced" and then disable all QuickSync codecs with "D3D11" and enable only the ones without "D3D11".

Thanks

Please post an ffmpeg log of that

If fails when I choose QuickSync encoder

That's not what I meant.  But you don't have the non D3D11 QuickSync entries at all. (so you couldn't have understood it 🙂 )

Could you please post the hw detection log?

Thanks

Do you have a monitor connected to the onboard graphics?

Posted

It's connected to the Radeon, right?

You need to go into the BIOS and go through all settings regarding graphics:

  1. Make sure to enable something like "Dual Graphics" or multi-xx or Onboard+External, etc..
  2. There's somewhere a setting that allows to configure graphics memory for the onboard graphics
    => choose the maximum

Reboot & retry

Bios has those settings in place.

Yes, monitor is connected to radeon.

It still transcodes file, and it appears in temp folder. After transcoding, it should start transfer, then fails.

Ah - my mistake. I thought that it would have ended prematurely in error.

But the video length is just 21min. So it transcodes to the end, but exists with error. Due to the error exit code, the sync process gets stuck.

Please give me some time to investigate.

Thanks,
sw

@raudraido - Could you please try with the latest beta (4.7.0.18) - it includes an updated ffmpeg version and I can't reproduce the error.

Thanks,
softworkz
