raudraido 48 Posted October 25, 2021 Posted October 25, 2021 Never have I ever successfully downloaded media to a device with transcoding. It fails all the time. What is the problem here? Emby shows "failed" after transcoding. Tried another emby server, downloaded to same device and it works. embyserver (2).txt ffmpeg-transcode-780c1803-1ab4-42c0-a5b1-0abc51872928_1.txt
Luke 42080 Posted October 25, 2021 Posted October 25, 2021 There was apparently an error during the conversion process. As a test, in server transcoding settings try turning off hardware transcoding and see if that helps.

softworkz 5070 Posted October 26, 2021 Posted October 26, 2021 Does it fail with a specific file only, with some files only or with all files? Thanks

softworkz 5070 Posted October 26, 2021 Posted October 26, 2021 OK, could you please go to "Transcoding", switch to "Advanced" and then disable all QuickSync codecs with "D3D11" and enable only the ones without "D3D11". Thanks

raudraido 48 Posted October 26, 2021 Author Posted October 26, 2021 If fails when I choose QuickSync encoder
softworkz 5070 Posted October 26, 2021 Posted October 26, 2021 That's not what I meant. But you don't have the non D3D11 QuickSync entries at all. (so you couldn't have understood it ) Could you please post the hw detection log? Thanks
softworkz 5070 Posted October 26, 2021 Posted October 26, 2021 Do you have a monitor connected to the onboard graphics?
softworkz 5070 Posted October 26, 2021 Posted October 26, 2021 It's connected to the Radeon, right? You need to go into the BIOS and go through all settings regarding graphics: Make sure to enable something like "Dual Graphics" or multi-xx or Onboard+External, etc.. There's somewhere a setting that allows to configure graphics memory for the onboard graphics => choose the maximum Reboot & retry

Yes, monitor is connected to radeon. It still transcodes file, and it appears in temp folder. After transcoding, it should start transfer, then fails.
softworkz 5070 Posted October 26, 2021 Posted October 26, 2021 Ah - my mistake. I thought that it would have ended prematurely in error. But the video length is just 21min. So it transcodes to the end, but exists with error. Due to the error exit code, the sync process gets stuck. Please give me some time to investigate. Thanks, sw
softworkz 5070 Posted November 18, 2021 Posted November 18, 2021 @raudraido - Could you please try with the latest beta (4.7.0.18) - it includes an updated ffmpeg version and I can't reproduce the error. Thanks, softworkz
