ross87 12 Posted October 23, 2021 Posted October 23, 2021 (edited) Hi, I have 2 servers one at home with 10tb of storage which is for current TV shows and movies we're watching and this is backed up remotely. The remote server backs up the home server, but also has older content that we'd like to occasionally watch, so we've added this as a media source on Emby, as well as the local drives. This has caused a problem, as now we have duplicates of TV shows and movies which are on both the local and remote servers. Is there any way of setting Emby, so that if content is detected from one source, it's not imported from the other source? So our set up looks like this: TV C:/TV (LOCAL) E:/TV (REMOTE) MOVIES C:/MOVIES (LOCAL) E:/MOVIES (REMOTE) Thanks in advance. Edited October 23, 2021 by ross87
Carlo 4560 Posted October 24, 2021 Posted October 24, 2021 Hi, you would want to setup the remote server with duel paths for each library. You would have in one location only the older stuff (doesn't exist on your local server) and in the other location the backed up content. Now on you local server you can only add the older things without any duplication.
