Luke 42077 Posted October 21, 2021 Posted October 21, 2021 Hi, it's possible your video has black bars embedded into it.
brian5678 7 Posted October 21, 2021 Author Posted October 21, 2021 It used to playback as full screen when I first setup the server and smartTV app around 4/2020. Then app updated and required a Emby licenses to continue to use. So both WebTV OS and emby app have updated multiple times since it used to work. None of my DVD mkv ripped content has the black bars embedded; as verified on multiple computers and iOS devices. This week I also updated the server from 4.5.x to 4.6.x just to see if the problem would go away with server update.
Luke 42077 Posted October 22, 2021 Posted October 22, 2021 @brian5678 we'll look at this for the next update to our LG app. Thanks.
brian5678 7 Posted August 25, 2023 Author Posted August 25, 2023 This is still a problem with the current release of the LG webOS app.

The problem though is that I think it does work for some videos and some models which is why we haven't hidden it already, so it's just a matter of finding out what those are. What model do you have?
brian5678 7 Posted August 8, 2025 Author Posted August 8, 2025 Still not working with current servers version and webOS LG 1.0.47 client. Same source DVD video plays back in full screen from DVD player.
