Problems with configuring Hardware Accelaration on Linux with Nvidia

I just purchased a lifetime premiere license in order to use Hardware acceleration. The documentation states the following:

The minimum required driver version on Linux is 390.25

There is no such version available for Linux. Unfortunately 340.108 is the most current version that Nvidia offers so I'm not sure how this would ever work 😞

Looks like I can't read. I had always thought NVidia drivers were universal across all their boards. I was wrong. Looks like my 240 GTX only has 340.108 available 😞
